How do I connect a domain I already own?

Your store already works at its free address, like tiwastudio.getalade.ng. You can also open it at a domain you own, like tiwastudio.com. This works on every plan, and you can connect up to 3 domains.
- In your dashboard, open Domain and choose Connect a domain you own.
- Type the domain, for example tiwastudio.com, and press Continue. We show you the records to add.
- Sign in where you bought the domain, open its DNS settings and add each record exactly as shown: a TXT record that proves the domain is yours, an A record for the main domain and a CNAME record for www.
- Come back to Alade and press Check now. Most domains connect within an hour. Some take up to 48 hours.
Once it connects, we set up the secure padlock (SSL) for you, free. You can then make it your main address. Your free address keeps working and sends visitors to the main one.
Keep the TXT record in place after connecting. We check it from time to time to make sure the domain is still yours.
