Acceptable use policy
Last updated 6 October 2026 · Applies to every store, seller and visitor on Alade
1. Why this policy exists
Shoppers need to trust every store on Alade. These rules keep stores honest, safe and legal, which protects every seller on the platform.
2. Products you cannot sell
Illegal drugs and controlled substances, weapons, ammunition and explosives, stolen goods, fake or counterfeit brands, prescription medicine without a licence, adult sexual content, protected wildlife, and anything else that breaks Nigerian law.
3. Selling honestly
Use real photos and real prices, describe products truthfully, only take payment for items you have or can make, and deliver within the time you state. Do not hide extra charges.
4. Using the platform fairly
Do not try to get into other people’s accounts or stores, overload the service, copy another store’s photos or text, send spam, or ask customers to pay or share card details outside the checkout.
5. Reviews
Only real buyers can leave a review, from the private link in their order emails. Do not post fake reviews or pay for them. You may hide a review, but you can never change what a customer wrote.
6. Reporting a store
Anyone can report a store from the Report this store link in its footer. We look at every report and may pause a store while we check.
7. What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove a product, pause the store or close the account. Customers with paid orders are still refunded or served.
8. Contact
Report a concern or ask a question: opanugaaladetomiwa@gmail.com or WhatsApp 0906 965 0658, 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday.
